Car tyres. A vehicle for learning

Goal50 Edu Hub will be a ground-breaking build. Local labour will be used and they will be taught the appropriate techniques. It’s likely to take just over a year to complete and will create more than 100 jobs in the town of Heideveld. This cutting-edge construction is likely to generate a lot of media attention and the Edu Hubs high visibility from the N2 highway will further ignite discussion. Architects believe that this could be the first of many similar buildings throughout South Africa.

The centre will need a full-time staff of 18 individuals, 12 ECD trained teachers and teaching assistants, with the balance being school administrators and facility management staff.

Children accessing this curriculum are often able to model good hygiene manners and table etiquette back in their homes.

The new centre will be an opportunity for all children to be given a fair and reasonable chance to benefit from early learning, regardless of their financial means. At a cost of £500,000, this is Goal50s most ambitious project since the charity was founded. Obviously, the contribution that a family can make will be limited. The anticipated monthly costs are approximately £11,500. The reward for hundreds of children over the coming years will be immense.
